What makes a design not only clever and sturdy, but also a springboard for confidence, communication, and collaboration? During Friendship Engineers Lab Summer Enrichment, students will step into the roles of engineers, problem-solvers, and collaborators tackling hands-on challenges that integrate STEAM learning, speech and language development, and social skills.

Guided by Molly Stuckey, a certified Speech-Language Pathologist and social skills expert, and Dr. Samantha Hayes, a certified teacher and educational specialist, campers receive expert support to think critically, express ideas clearly, and work successfully with peers—all in a small-group, engaging environment. This is a premium camp experience, designed to provide 20 hours of individualized, expert-led instruction.

Across five days, kids will:

  • Strengthen speech and language skills through guided explanation, reflection, and storytelling
  • Develop stronger social skills: good sportsmanship, how to include yourself, appropriate touch and proximity, reacting to peers, and social filters
  • Design and test engineering challenges while practicing teamwork and communication
  • Collaborate on creative builds that require problem-solving, flexibility, and perspective-taking
  • Take home their own inventions and see firsthand the power of planning, testing, and iterating

Lunch: Please send a packed lunch for a short, minds-on/hands-off lunch break.

All materials are included.

Space is limited to ensure every child gets personalized guidance and meaningful engagement.
